Equip 128410 USB4 Flat Cable, 13 cm, 40 Gbps, 240 W

40 Gbps USB4240 W PD 3.18K 60 Hz
The Equip 128410 is a 13 cm USB4 Gen 3x2 cable that carries the full 40 Gbps, 8K 60 Hz video and USB Power Delivery 3.1 at up to 240 W, in a flat ribbon form made for the short hop between a laptop and a dock, hub or portable SSD sitting right beside it. Part number 128410 uses an integrated e-marker chip, gold-plated contacts, an aluminium housing and double shielding, and it is compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and Thunderbolt 4 devices.
Good to know: At 13 cm this is deliberately a short link cable, not a desk-to-charger cable. Both ends and the devices must support USB4 or Thunderbolt for the 40 Gbps and 8K figures; on a USB 3.2 or USB 2.0 port it simply runs at that port speed while still charging at up to 240 W.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a 13 cm USB4 cable useful for?
Short runs where a long cable would be in the way: a portable SSD or hub sitting next to a laptop, a dock mounted under a desk, a monitor arm, or a tidy setup where a 1 m cable would loop around. The short length also helps a 40 Gbps signal stay clean.
Does it support 240 W charging and 8K video at the same time?
Yes. USB4 carries data, DisplayPort video and Power Delivery over the same cable, and this one is rated for PD 3.1 at 240 W with an e-marker chip that tells the charger what the cable can take. The ceiling is set by your charger and devices, not by the cable.
Singular Expert Insight
Most short USB-C cables are USB 2.0 throwaways that quietly cap a dock at 480 Mbps and 60 W. This one is the opposite: a fully specified USB4 cable in a 13 cm flat form, so it fits behind a monitor or under a desk without folding, and it will not hold back a Thunderbolt 4 dock or a 240 W charger. The only decision is the length.
✓ Buy it if you need a short, tidy link between a laptop and a dock, hub or SSD and want the full 40 Gbps and 240 W.
✕ Skip it if you need reach: 13 cm is too short for charging from a wall socket or across a desk.
→ Also consider the Equip 128431 2-in-1 Gen 2x2 1 m cable, or a 1 m to 2 m USB4 cable when distance matters.
