equip 128954 — USB-C Hub with Four USB-A Ports
USB-C in, 4 x USB-A out5 Gbps SuperSpeed32 g, 102 mm long15 cm cable
The equip 128954 turns one USB-C port on a laptop or tablet into four full-size USB-A sockets at up to 5 Gbps. It is a plain, light hub rather than a multiport dock: 23.5 x 16 x 102 mm, 32 g, on a 15 cm captive cable, with no drivers and no power adapter to carry.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The plug is USB-C, so a computer with only USB-A ports needs a different model — equip’s 128953 is the same idea with a USB-A plug. This hub is bus-powered with no external supply and no charging input, so it cannot charge your laptop; keyboards, mice, dongles, flash drives, card readers and one bus-powered SSD are the right load, and two portable hard drives at once are not. There is no video output, no Ethernet and no card reader. equip lists Windows 7 through 11, macOS 10.6 or newer and ChromeOS, and rates the hub for 0 to 45 °C.
Best For
✓ USB-C laptops and tablets that still need USB-A sockets
✓ Keyboards, mice, wireless receivers and licence dongles
✓ Flash drives and card readers
✓ One bus-powered external SSD at full 5 Gbps
✓ Travel — 32 g and a short captive lead
✓ Hot desks and meeting rooms
Key Features
Four USB-A from one USB-C
The everyday conversion a modern laptop needs. Existing keyboards, receivers and flash drives keep working without an adapter on each cable.
5 Gbps SuperSpeed
USB 3.2 Gen 1 on all four ports, backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices. The bandwidth is shared, so one drive at a time reaches the full rate.
Light and short
102 mm long and 32 g on a 15 cm cable. It sits beside the machine rather than across the desk and disappears into a laptop sleeve.
Nothing to install
Plug and play on Windows, macOS and ChromeOS, powered entirely from the host port. CE and RoHS marked, rated 0 to 45 °C.

Singular Expert Insight
This is the simplest thing in the category and there is nothing wrong with that: one USB-C plug in, four USB-A sockets out, 32 g, no software. The whole decision is whether your machine has a USB-C port and whether everything you will connect is low-draw. Use it for flash drives, receivers and one external SSD. The moment a monitor, a network socket or laptop charging joins the list, no four-port hub will do — that is a docking station.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
Your laptop or tablet has USB-C and you need four standard USB-A ports from the lightest hub that still uses a real cable.
Skip it if
Skip it if your computer has USB-A rather than USB-C, if the laptop must charge through the hub, or if video or Ethernet are needed.
Also consider
equip 128953 if your machine has a USB-A port, 128956 if you want a USB-C adapter supplied with a USB-A hub, or a docking station for video and charging.
