The Equip 129968 Network Cable Tester checks RJ45, RJ11, RJ12 and BNC cables and detects Power over Ethernet, for network technicians who troubleshoot patch cords, installed runs and PoE switch ports. It tests continuity, connection, wiring and shorts in automatic or manual mode.

A separate PoE tester device shows whether PoE power is present and whether it comes from a Midspan injector or an Endspan switch, and everything ships in a hard shell case with BNC and RJ11 adapters.

Good to know: Requires a 9 V block battery, which is not included. Equip does not publish a maximum test length, and the tester does not measure PoE wattage or cable length.
