equip Cat 6 S/FTP Patch Cable 0.25 m (Orange)
Cat 6 · 250 MHz0.25 mS/FTP PiMFLSZH · Orange
The equip 605573 is a 0.25 m Cat 6 S/FTP PiMF patch cable for short Gigabit Ethernet jumpers between patch panels, switches and servers in the same rack. Part number 605573 is the orange version, with bare-copper AWG 28/7 conductors, a halogen-free LSZH jacket and support for PoE and PoE+ devices.
Compatibility note: This is a Cat 6 cable rated to 250 MHz and 1 Gbit/s. It is shielded (S/FTP), so it works best with shielded patch panels and grounded equipment. At 0.25 m, check the distance between ports before ordering.
Key Features
S/FTP PiMF shielding
Every pair has its own foil and the bundle has an overall braid, which reduces crosstalk and interference in crowded racks.
Bare copper, PoE+ ready
4 × 2 AWG 28/7 stranded bare copper carries PoE (802.3af) and PoE+ (802.3at) for access points, IP phones and cameras.
LSZH jacket
Low-smoke, zero-halogen jacket for server rooms and public buildings, with moulded boots that protect the latch.

Singular Expert Insight
The 605573 is a good everyday jumper for colour-coding Gigabit ports between patch panels and network switches. If you plan 10 Gbit/s uplinks, step up to a Cat 6A S/FTP cord; if you only need a quick desk connection, an unshielded Cat 6 U/UTP cable is slightly cheaper.
Buyer's Guide
Buy it if
You need short 0.25 m Cat 6 shielded jumpers in orange with LSZH jackets and PoE+ support.
Skip it if
You need guaranteed 10 Gbit/s links or your equipment is not grounded for shielded cabling.
Also consider
equip Cat 6 S/FTP at 0.5 m (6055x7 series) or equip Cat 6A S/FTP cords for 10 GbE.
