The equip 326416 is a 16-port Cat 6 shielded 19-inch 1U patch panel in black (RAL 9005). It mounts in a 19-inch rack or cabinet and takes up 1U. Installation cable is punched down on the back with an LSA or 110 punch-down tool, and the 16 RJ45 sockets on the front take ordinary patch cords, rated for Gigabit Ethernet (1000Base-T). In practice it gives the cables coming from wall outlets and ceilings a fixed, labelled end point next to your switch, so that moves and changes are made with short patch cords at the panel instead of re-terminating installation cable. Compatibility — check before buying:
It has 16 ports, not 24 — the 24-port version of this black Premium panel is 326424. The ports are fixed and terminated with an LSA or 110 punch-down tool, which is not in the box. As a shielded panel it only gives its full screening with shielded cable and a grounded rack or earth point; equip does not list an earthing wire.
