equip M6 Cage Nut and Screw Set — 20 complete sets for 19-inch rack installations
M6 x 16 mm20 setsCage nut + washerEIA-310 racks
The equip 922492 is a pack of twenty matched M6 mounting sets — each with an M6 x 16 mm screw, a cage nut and a washer — for installing servers, network switches, patch panels and AV equipment in 19-inch racks and cabinets.
Twenty sets mount about five devices at four screws each, which makes it the practical stock pack for a new cabinet or a technician’s toolbox.
Before you order: Cage nuts fit square-hole 19-inch rails. Racks with round or pre-threaded holes need screws matched to that rail type instead.
What's in the Box
- 20 x M6 x 16 mm screws
- 20 x M6 cage nuts
- 20 x washers
What It Means in Practice
- Enough hardware for about five devices at four screws each.
- Standard M6 size used by most European 19-inch cabinets.
- Washers protect device ears and rail finish when tightening.
- Keep a pack on site for moves and additions.
What Will Not Work
- Not for round-hole or threaded rails (for example M5 or 10-32).
- M5 cage nuts already in a rack will not take M6 screws.
- For a single device, the 4-set pack (922491) is enough.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Running short of cage nuts mid-installation is common; a 20-set pack in the cabinet avoids it. Match M6 hardware to M6 rails — mixing sizes is the usual cause of stripped threads. More in our rack accessories.
✓ Buy it if you are populating a square-hole 19-inch cabinet or want a stock of M6 hardware.
✕ Skip it if your rails are threaded or round-hole, or you only need one device’s worth.
→ Also consider equip 922491 (4 sets) or Good Connections GC-N0050 (20 black sets, 20 mm screws).
