equip 128893 USB-C 90-Degree Angled Cable, 3 m

100W Power Delivery90-degree angled plug3 m reachShielded copper

The equip 128893 is a 3 m USB-C to USB-C charging cable with a 90-degree angled plug, so the lead exits sideways instead of sticking straight out of a laptop, tablet or monitor. Article 128893 handles up to 100W of Power Delivery over shielded copper conductors, which covers most USB-C notebooks, and the long run reaches a socket behind a desk or beside a sofa.

Before you buy: Data on this cable is USB 2.0 at 480 Mbps and there is no DisplayPort Alternate Mode, so it is meant for charging and light syncing rather than external drives or displays. Check the direction the angled plug faces in product photos before ordering if clearance around the port is tight.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why choose a 90-degree plug?
Because a straight plug is the first thing to break. With the port on the side of a laptop, a right-angle plug lets the cable run back along the chassis instead of jutting out where a knee or a bag catches it. It also helps on a tablet used in a stand, or a monitor mounted close to a wall where a straight connector will not fit.
Can I use the 128893 with an external SSD?
It will connect, but the transfer runs at USB 2.0 speed, 480 Mbps, which is roughly twenty times slower than a 10 Gbps cable. Use it for charging and for syncing a phone, and pick a USB 3.2 Gen 2 cable such as the equip 128354 when the same lead has to move large files.
Singular Expert Insight
This is a charging cable chosen for its shape and its reach rather than its speed: 3 m gets from a wall socket to a sofa or across a desk island, and the right-angle plug keeps the connector out of harm on a laptop used in tight spaces. Accept the USB 2.0 data path as the trade-off, or keep a second 10 Gbps cable at the desk. Shorter 1 m and 2 m versions exist if 3 m is more than you need. See also laptop power supplies.
✓ Buy it if you charge a USB-C laptop or tablet in a tight spot and need a long cable that will not snap at the plug.
✕ Skip it if the cable also has to carry data at speed or drive a display.
→ Also consider equip 128892 at 2 m or 128891 at 1 m for shorter runs, or equip 128354 when you need 10 Gbps and 4K video.
