Unlocks 4K 120 Hz and 8K DisplayPort output from a USB-C laptop.
4K 120 Hz8K 30 HzHDR
The Equip 133493 is a USB-C male to DisplayPort 1.4 female adapter on a 15 cm cable, supporting up to 7680 x 4320 at 30 Hz and 3840 x 2160 at 120 Hz with HDR and HDCP 2.3. Built around a Cypress CCG2 controller with 32.4Gbps bandwidth, it lets a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3/4 laptop drive a high-refresh DP monitor through your existing DisplayPort cable.
Compatibility Note: The USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alt Mode; 4K 120 Hz / 8K also require a DP 1.4 capable source (HBR3) and a DP 1.4 cable and monitor.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Equip 133493 support 4K at 120 Hz?
Yes, when the laptop's USB-C port outputs DisplayPort 1.4 (HBR3) and the monitor and DP cable support 4K 120 Hz.
Do I need a DisplayPort cable with the 133493?
Yes. The adapter has a DisplayPort female socket, so you connect your own DP cable to the monitor.
Singular Expert Insight
Worth it over basic DP 1.2 adapters if you own a 4K high-refresh or 8K-class monitor. For a plain 4K 60 Hz office screen, a direct USB-C to DP cable saves the extra DP lead.
✓ Buy it if you want 4K 120 Hz or 8K 30 Hz from a USB-C laptop to a DisplayPort monitor.
✕ Skip it if you prefer a single cable with no extra DP lead, or your port lacks DP Alt Mode.
→ Also consider Manhattan 152471 (1 m USB-C to DP 1.2 cable) or Equip 133428 (3 m, 4K60).
