Equip 118909 HDMI to DVI-I Adapter
Plugs into an HDMI port and accepts a standard DVI cable, in either signal direction.
HDMI-A male ↔ DVI-I femaleBidirectionalGold-plated
The Equip 118909 is a bidirectional adapter with an HDMI Type-A male plug and a DVI-I (24+5) female socket. It lets you connect an existing DVI cable to the HDMI port of a PC, laptop, graphics card, TV or monitor, and works HDMI-to-DVI as well as DVI-to-HDMI.
Since HDMI and DVI-D share the same digital signal, the adapter is passive. Equip specifies Full HD 1080p and lists support for up to 1920×1200 at 60Hz; the contacts are gold-plated and the adapter weighs just 25 g.
Compatibility Note: Only the digital signal is passed: the DVI-I socket accepts DVI-D and DVI-I plugs, but analogue VGA through a DVI-to-VGA adapter will not work, and DVI carries no audio.
