The Interactive Arm HD is built for large touch and interactive displays on a wall — classrooms, meeting rooms, clinical rooms and training spaces where the screen has to come out to be used and go back flat when it is not. It carries displays from 30 to 65 in weighing 8.2 to 18.1 kg, lifts through 50.8 cm so the same screen suits a standing adult and a seated user, extends 61 cm from the wall and retracts to just 14 cm. Part number 45-296-026 is the polished aluminium version with the 8.2 to 18.1 kg capacity option.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Check the capacity option first. This part number is the 8.2 to 18.1 kg version; Ergotron also builds the same arm in a 15.9 to 31.8 kg option under a different code, so if your display is heavier than 18.1 kg this is not the part to order. Note our earlier catalogue entry showed 30 to 55 in and 18 kg — the Ergotron specification is 30 to 65 in. Mounting interface is VESA MIS-E 200 x 100 and MIS-F from 200–600 mm by 200–400 mm; a small 100 x 100 display will not attach. Rotation is only ±5° for levelling, not portrait rotation. Because of the size and the load, Ergotron advises using professional installers, and strongly recommends professional installation when mounting above a fireplace.

Key Features
50.8 cm of height travel
Half a metre of lift is what makes one interactive display usable by a standing teacher and a seated pupil or a wheelchair user. Constant Force counterbalance moves the whole screen with one hand and holds it wherever it is left.

The arm brings a 65 in display well into the room for touch use and folds back to 14 cm from the wall afterwards, so a corridor or a small meeting room is not permanently obstructed.
Tilt with a lock-down knob
Tilt runs 15° forward and 10° back on a gravity pivot, and a lock-down knob fixes the angle. On a touch display that matters — without it, pressing the screen changes the angle you set.
Large-format VESA support
MIS-E 200 x 100 plus MIS-F from 200–600 mm wide by 200–400 mm high covers the patterns used on large interactive panels, rather than the small desktop patterns that most monitor arms are built around.
