The standard member of Ergotron’s TM tilting family: a 600 mm wide wall plate carrying 79.4 kg at just 89 mm from the wall, for displays 32 inches and larger. Tilt is Constant Force — +15 to -5 degrees with no knobs or levers — and it is UL 2442 certified, tested to four times the rated load.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Before you order, check two things, because they are the only reasons to choose the wider 61-142-003 XL instead. First: how wide is your display’s horizontal VESA pattern? This mount covers 100 to 600 mm; anything from 601 to 800 mm needs the XL. Second: how far apart are your wall studs? This plate fits 16 inch centres only — for 24 inch spacing you need the XL. Ergotron states both rules on its own page. Everything else is identical between the two: same 79.4 kg capacity, same 20 degree tilt, same 89 mm profile, same MIS-D/E/F standard, same five-year warranty. Wall construction is wood stud or solid concrete (minimum 3000 psi, at least 102 mm thick, 10 mm holes drilled at least 80 mm deep); Ergotron publishes no hollow-wall or cinder-block option. On size, its own documents give three different figures — the product page says 32 inches and larger, the datasheet 32 to 120, an older catalogue 32 to 90 — and the datasheet footnote settles it: the diagonal is approximate and weight is the real limit. Two pentagon-head security screws and the tool are supplied.
