Fellowes Breyta — Mousepad Wrist Rest, Sage
HEX CushionMicroban built in69% recycled5-year term
The Breyta is the range Fellowes built around flexible silicone rather than foam or gel, and it behaves differently from both: light, wipeable, and it springs back rather than compressing. The cushion uses Fellowes’ patent-pending HEX Cushion Technology, designed to give uniform support across the whole wrist instead of a soft spot in the middle, and the wrist rest carries a soft-touch, anti-dust coating. Microban antimicrobial protection is built into the material and works around the clock. Fellowes publishes the size as 1.75 x 20.00 x 24.00 cm at 250 g, 69% post-consumer recycled content, and 100% recyclable through its Breyta ReTake take-back scheme. It is backed by a 5-year limited warranty and tested by FIRA International against EN ISO 9241-5. This one is sage green.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a combined mousepad and wrist rest, so it replaces the pad you use now rather than sitting in front of it. This is the standard size at 20 x 24 cm. If you want more room to move — and Fellowes argues that bigger movement means fewer small repetitive ones — the Breyta XL is 23% larger at 21 x 28 cm. The cushion stands 1.75 cm proud, which is the figure to check against your seating: a wrist rest helps when your forearm is roughly level with the desktop and works against you when your elbows sit well below it. Read the Microban claim as Fellowes writes it: it helps prevent the growth of bacteria on the product for added product protection — it is not a health claim and does not replace cleaning. Fellowes publishes no covering material for the Breyta range.
Best For
✓ Desks where the mouse hand aches by the afternoon
✓ Buyers with a recycled-content purchasing policy
✓ Shared and hot-desk workstations
✓ Anyone who finds gel clammy and foam too soft
✓ Offices matching colours across a desk set
✓ Optical and laser mice
Key Features
HEX Cushion Technology
Patent-pending hexagonal structure that spreads support evenly across the wrist instead of collapsing into a soft hollow where the weight sits.
Silicone, not foam or gel
Light, flexible and wipeable, with a soft-touch anti-dust coating — it does not flatten permanently the way cheap foam does.
Microban, built in
Antimicrobial protection worked into the material rather than sprayed on, so it keeps working for the life of the product.
69% recycled, 100% recyclable
Fellowes publishes the post-consumer figure outright and takes the product back at end of life through its Breyta ReTake scheme.

Singular Expert Insight
Silicone is the interesting choice here: it stays cool, wipes clean, and the HEX structure gives even support instead of the soft hollow that foam rests develop. Add the published 69% recycled content, the take-back scheme and a 5-year term and this is the one to buy when procurement asks questions. See our mouse pads and wrist rests and our wireless mice.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want a light, wipe-clean silicone wrist rest with even support, antimicrobial protection and a published recycled-content figure, in sage green.
Skip it if
You prefer the softness of gel or memory foam, you need a large gaming surface, or your desk already sits high relative to your elbows.
Also consider
The other Breyta colours and the Breyta XL if you want 23% more room, or a Fellowes memory-foam pad for a softer feel.
