What's in the Box
- 1 × freecolor remanufactured PGI-570XL pigment black cartridge, 22 ml
- 1 × each CLI-571XL photo black, cyan, magenta and yellow, 11 ml each
- No printer or other accessories included
What It Means in Practice
- Cost per page drops: the 22 ml + 4 × 11 ml set is rated at 770 / 870 pages by the manufacturer, measured per freecolor.
- Installation is the same as with the original: open the cover, take out the empty cartridge, click the new one into the same slot.
- Your printer settings, drivers and paper stay exactly as they are — nothing to install on the computer.
- One pack fills all five slots: the large pigment black for text and the four CLI-571 inks for colour and photos.
- Print a nozzle check after installing: if a colour shows gaps, one cleaning cycle from the printer menu usually clears it — avoid running several in a row, as each one uses ink.
- Replace only when the printer reports empty, not at the first low-ink warning — the warning appears while there is still ink left to print with.
What Will Not Work
- PIXMA TS6100–TS6300, TS8100–TS8300, TS9100, TR7500/TR8500 — they take PGI-580/CLI-581.
- PIXMA MG5400/MG5500/MG6400/MG7100 — they take PGI-550/CLI-551.
- MAXIFY printers — different ink system (PGI-1500/2500).
