The GIGABYTE B850M EAGLE WIFI7 is a Micro ATX motherboard for AMD AM5 processors on the B850 chipset, with a PCIe 5.0 x16 graphics slot, a PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot, Wi-Fi 7 and 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet, for gamers and home-office builders putting together a compact Ryzen 9000, 8000 or 7000 desktop. It takes four DDR5 modules up to 256GB in total, with overclocked memory support to DDR5-8200 and both AMD EXPO and Intel XMP profiles.
Storage is two M.2 slots (one PCIe 5.0 x4, one PCIe 4.0) plus four SATA ports with RAID. When the CPU has integrated graphics, one HDMI 2.1 and two DisplayPort 1.4 outputs drive up to three displays. The rear panel adds USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A and Type-C, Q-Flash Plus for BIOS updates without a CPU, and 7.1-channel audio.
Before you order: Wi-Fi 7 features need a recent Windows 11 build; GIGABYTE provides no Wi-Fi 7 driver for Windows 10. With Ryzen 8000 (Phoenix) CPUs the GPU slot and M.2 run at PCIe 4.0 with fewer lanes.
