Gigabyte Z890 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 PLUS — overclocking-ready ATX for Core Ultra
Intel Z890 · LGA1851DDR5 9466+ MT/s (OC) · CUDIMM5GbE · Wi-Fi 7USB4 · PCIe 5.0 M.2
The Gigabyte Z890 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 PLUS (part number Z890 A ELITE WIFI7 P) is an ATX motherboard for Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processors on LGA1851, built on the Z890 chipset for CPU and memory overclocking — a strong base for high-end gaming and creator PCs.
Four DDR5 slots support up to 256GB and overclocked kits beyond 9466 MT/s, including CUDIMM modules. The graphics slot runs PCIe 5.0 x16, and four M.2 slots include one PCIe 5.0 x4 (up to 25110 length) from the CPU plus three PCIe 4.0 x4 slots, one of which also takes SATA M.2 drives.
Connectivity includes Realtek 5GbE, Intel Wi-Fi 7 BE200 (320 MHz) with Bluetooth 5.4, a USB4 Type-C port with DisplayPort output, two 10 Gbps USB-A ports, ALC1220 audio with S/PDIF, and two headers ready for Gigabyte Thunderbolt 5 add-in cards.
Compatibility note: Rear video is limited to one DisplayPort 2.1 and the USB4 port — there is no HDMI. Wi-Fi 7 needs Windows 11 (no Windows 10 driver). The two x16-length chipset slots run PCIe 4.0 x4. Core Ultra F-series CPUs have no integrated graphics, so the rear display outputs will not work with them.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Z890 AORUS ELITE WIFI7 PLUS ready for Thunderbolt 5?
Not natively, but it has two Thunderbolt add-in card connectors for a Gigabyte Thunderbolt 5 add-in card (sold separately); the rear USB4 port already provides 40 Gbps and DisplayPort output.
Can I use CUDIMM memory?
Yes, it supports clocked unbuffered DDR5 (CUDIMM) as well as standard non-ECC UDIMMs with XMP, up to 9466+ MT/s overclocked.
Does it have HDMI?
No. Integrated graphics output is through one DisplayPort 2.1 and the USB4 Type-C port. Use a USB-C or DP to HDMI adapter if needed.
Does it support Windows 10?
Gigabyte lists Windows 11 64-bit only, and the Wi-Fi 7 module has no Windows 10 driver.
