Gigaset AS690 Duo Cordless Phone Set

Two handsetsHands-freeCall blocking14 h talk time

The Gigaset AS690 Duo is a black cordless DECT phone set with a base and two handsets, for homes that want a phone in two rooms from day one. Each handset has hands-free with two audio profiles and hearing-aid compatibility, a 100-entry phonebook, up to 14 hours of talk time, and the set blocks up to 32 unwanted numbers.

In practice, the Duo covers a living room and a bedroom or a small office with two desks, with internal calls between the handsets. It works on an analogue line; the AS690 Duo has no answering machine, so rely on your provider’s voicemail or choose the AS690A.

Compatibility — check before buying:
It is an analogue (PSTN) cordless phone: the base plugs into an analogue phone socket or the analogue phone port of a router. It has no network port and cannot register to a SIP/VoIP account by itself. The AS690 Duo has no answering machine; for one, choose the AS690A. Tell us how your phone line is connected (wall socket, router or VoIP adapter) and we check it before you order.

Warranty
Warranty 1-Year Warranty (Singular)
Manufacturer Term Gigaset publishes a 24-month guarantee on manufacturing and material defects, and six months on wear parts such as batteries and keypads, in its UK and Ireland user guides. Singular’s direct warranty is 1 year; beyond that we assist you with the manufacturer’s warranty process for its full duration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use it with my internet or VoIP line?
The base connects to an analogue phone socket. If your line comes from a router or VoIP adapter, plug the base into the router’s analogue phone port and it works like a normal line. It cannot register to a SIP account by itself. Tell us your router model and we confirm the connection.
Can I add more handsets later?
Yes. The base takes up to 4 handsets in total, so you can add two more AS690HX handsets.
What does Duo mean?
Duo means the box has the base plus a second handset with its own charger. Gigaset does not publish a detailed Duo package list; tell us if you need to confirm a specific item.
What warranty do I get?
Singular gives a 1-year direct warranty. Gigaset states a 24-month guarantee on manufacturing and material defects, with six months on wear parts such as batteries, in its UK and Ireland user guides. Beyond our first year we help you with Gigaset’s process.
Singular Expert Insight
The AS690 Duo is better value than buying an AS690 and a separate AS690HX. If you need an answering machine as well, choose the AS690A and add an AS690HX handset. Browse all our VoIP and cordless phones.
