Gigaset N720 DM PRO — the DECT Manager of the N720 IP PRO multicell system
Multicell managerUp to 100 handsetsPoE 802.3afG.722 HD voice
The Gigaset N720 DM PRO is the central DECT Manager of the Gigaset N720 IP PRO multicell system. It is the one box that talks to your IP PBX or SIP provider, manages up to 100 handsets and SIP accounts, and coordinates the N720 IP PRO base stations that provide the actual radio coverage, including handover between cells as users walk through the building.
Every N720 installation needs exactly one DM PRO. It has no DECT radio of its own, so it can sit in the comms room next to the switch, powered by PoE.
Before you order: The N720 DM PRO alone gives no DECT coverage — you also need Gigaset N720 IP PRO base stations (S30852-H2314-R101). It is not compatible with the newer N670/N870 IP PRO bases.
What's in the Box
- Gigaset N720 DM PRO
- CD with user guide
- No power supply: runs on PoE 802.3af; Gigaset power supply is optional (EU C39280-Z4-C706)
What It Means in Practice
- Cover a hotel, clinic, warehouse or multi-floor office with seamless DECT handover between N720 IP PRO bases.
- One SIP interface to your PBX for all handsets — users keep their extension wherever they walk.
- Each N720 IP PRO base carries 8 narrowband or 4 G.722 HD calls; the system handles up to 30 simultaneous DECT connections.
- Install it anywhere on the LAN — it does not need to be inside the DECT coverage area.
What Will Not Work
- Radio coverage on its own — order N720 IP PRO base stations separately.
- Gigaset N670 or N870 IP PRO base stations — different platform.
- Handsets are not included — use Gigaset PRO handsets.
- Analogue lines — this is a SIP-only device.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The N720 DM PRO is only half of a multicell DECT system: budget for the N720 IP PRO bases and Gigaset PRO handsets as well. Bases and DM are usually powered from a PoE switch, which also simplifies placement.
✓ Buy it if you are building or expanding a Gigaset N720 IP PRO multicell DECT system.
✕ Skip it if you have Gigaset N670/N870 equipment or need a single-cell system.
→ Also consider the Gigaset N670 IP PRO for single-cell sites up to 20 handsets.
Send us your floor plan and number of users and we will design the base station layout before you order.
