The Gigaset Repeater HX extends the coverage of a Gigaset DECT base or a DECT/CAT-iq router that supports the ETSI repeater standard. Place it between the base and the area with weak signal and handsets switch to it automatically during a call, so you can keep talking in the garden, the upper floor or the back office.
It carries up to 2 simultaneous calls, supports encryption, and receives firmware updates over the air (SUOTA). It plugs straight into a wall socket — no network cable needed.
Before you order: The Repeater HX does not work with Gigaset PRO multicell systems N670 IP PRO and N870 IP PRO. With encryption on, a base supports only 2 repeaters (6 without encryption). Repeater mode does not work while ECO DECT is enabled on the base.

What It Means in Practice
- Fix dead spots on a second floor or in a large shop without running cables.
- Calls are handed over automatically between base and repeater.
- Keep repeaters at least 10 m apart; they cannot be chained one behind another.
- HD voice through the repeater depends on the base (CAT-iq 2.0).
What Will Not Work
- Gigaset N670 IP PRO and N870 IP PRO — not connectable.
- Cascading repeaters in series.
- More than 2 repeaters per base with encryption enabled.
- Bases with ECO DECT switched on.

A repeater is the quickest fix for weak DECT coverage in homes and small offices. For professional SIP sites, plan coverage with additional base stations instead, as Gigaset PRO multicell systems do not accept repeaters. For Wi-Fi dead spots, see our range boosters.
