Good Connections OS2 Singlemode Fibre Patch Cable — SC/UPC to SC/UPC, Duplex, 10 m
OS2 9/125 µmSC – SC UPC10 m DuplexLSZH Yellow
The Good Connections LW-910SC is a 10 m duplex OS2 singlemode fibre optic patch cable with SC/UPC on one end and SC/UPC on the other, built on 9/125 µm fibre (G.652.D) in a LSZH yellow jacket, 2.0 mm in diameter. It is made for IT teams linking switches, routers, servers and fibre patch panels over singlemode, typically with LX/LR-type (1310/1550 nm) SFP or SFP+ transceivers.
SC is the larger square push-pull connector found on many patch panels, media converters and FTTH ONTs. Both ends are SC, so it connects two SC ports or an SC port to an SC coupler in a panel.
Before you order: This is singlemode (OS2) fibre. It needs singlemode optics (LX/LR/BiDi, 1310/1550 nm) at both ends — it will not work with multimode SR/SX transceivers.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Good Connections duplex fibre optic patch cable, SC/UPC – SC/UPC, 10 m
- Dust caps fitted on the connectors
- Individual test report (measurement protocol) for the cable
- Transceivers, couplers and cleaning tools are not included
What It Means in Practice
- Duplex means two fibres: one transmits, one receives. If the link does not come up, transmit and receive are usually crossed — the duplex clip is detachable, so you can swap the two connectors at one end (polarity A↔B).
- 10 m is the end-to-end length. Measure the route including slack in cable managers and trays before ordering — fibre should never be pulled tight or kinked.
- Minimum bend radius is 15 mm — keep loops wider than that in racks, boxes and trays.
What Will Not Work
- It will not work with multimode SR/SX transceivers or multimode fibre runs.
- It does not mate correctly with APC (green, angled) ports or couplers.
- It does not plug into LC, ST, MPO ports. If one end of your link is different, tell us the ports and we will match the right cable.
- It is an indoor patch cord, not an outdoor or direct-burial cable.

Frequently Asked Questions
UPC or APC — does it matter?
Yes. UPC (flat, blue) and APC (8° angle, green) end-faces must never be mixed. This cable is UPC; use it with UPC ports and couplers, which is what most switches, SFP modules and data patch panels use.
Can I get a different length?
Send us the distance between the two ports and we will quote the nearest length in the same fibre type and connectors, so you do not end up with too much slack or a cable that is too short.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Most fibre faults we see come from three mismatches: singlemode versus multimode, UPC versus APC, and the wrong connector at one end. This Good Connections cord is OS2, UPC, SC to SC — confirm those three on both devices and it will simply work. For the equipment side, see our
network switches.
✓ Buy it if your link is OS2 singlemode, both ports are SC with UPC polish, and 10 m covers the route with a little slack.
✕ Skip it if either end uses a different connector or polish, your transceivers are multimode (SR/SX), or you need an outdoor-rated cable.
→ Also consider the same cable in another length, or a coupler/patch panel if you are extending an existing run.
Not sure it fits your setup? Send us the model of your rack, switch or device and we will check compatibility before you order.
