Good Connections 8060-005S RNS Cat 6 S/FTP Patch Cable — 0.5 m Black
Fully shielded PiMF patch cord with latch-guard (Rastnasenschutz) boots for everyday Gigabit patching.
Cat 6250 MHzS/FTP PiMF0.5 mPVC jacket
The Good Connections 8060-005S is a 0.5 m Cat 6 S/FTP PiMF patch cable in black, rated to 250 MHz, with AWG 27 conductors, a 6.0 mm PVC jacket and RNS latch-guard boots — a short shielded cord for connecting patch panels, switches and servers.
PiMF (pairs in metal foil) wraps each pair in its own foil under an overall braid, which keeps crosstalk and outside interference low even in crowded racks. The RNS (Rastnasenschutz) moulding protects the RJ45 latch from snagging and breaking when cords are pulled through a panel. Part number 8060-005S, EAN 4014619216048. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Before you buy — compatibility notes
This is a Cat 6 cord (250 MHz): ideal for Gigabit Ethernet and short 10GBASE-T links, but for guaranteed 10 Gbit/s at full channel length choose a Cat 6A cord. The jacket is PVC, not halogen-free — if your site specifies LSZH/LSOH cabling (public buildings, data centres), pick the halogen-free Good Connections H-series instead. Being shielded, it works best with shielded panels and earthed switch ports; in an unshielded system it simply behaves like a well-screened cord.
Key Features
PiMF shielding
Each twisted pair has its own foil plus an overall braid (S/FTP), keeping alien crosstalk and EMI low next to power cabling or in dense bundles.
RNS latch guard
The moulded Rastnasenschutz boot covers the RJ45 latch so it cannot snag or snap off when the cord is pulled through a busy patch field.
Solid build for 0.5 m runs
AWG 27 conductors, gold-plated contacts and a 6.0 mm PVC jacket (flame-retardant to IEC 60332-1) make it a durable short jumper for racks and desks.

Singular Expert Insight
The 8060-005S is a sensible default for Gigabit patching where you want a shielded cord with a latch guard at a PVC price. The PiMF construction is overkill for a home router but pays off in racks packed with network switches and power cabling. If the site requires halogen-free cable or you plan 10GBASE-T across the whole channel, step up to the Good Connections 8060-H Cat 6A LSZH cords of the same RNS design.
Buyer's Guide
