Grandstream WP825 — rugged Wi-Fi calling with a headset jack

IP67Wi-Fi 5 dual-band2 SIP lines3.5 mm jack

The Grandstream WP825 is a ruggedized portable Wi-Fi IP phone for staff who work in demanding environments. It is sealed to IP67, has a chemical-resistant anti-microbial casing and a 2.5 m drop rating, and connects to your SIP phone system over dual-band Wi-Fi 5. It supports two SIP accounts, HD voice, Bluetooth headsets and wired headsets through a 3.5 mm jack. The charging cradle and power supply are included.

Compatibility — check before buying:
The WP825 works only over Wi-Fi — there is no Ethernet port and no DECT radio. It needs a SIP phone system or hosted PBX account and Wi-Fi coverage where it will be used. It is Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), not Wi-Fi 6; it still works on Wi-Fi 6 access points, which remain backwards compatible. Tell us the phone system or provider you use and we check compatibility before you buy.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the WP825 and WP836?
Both are rugged and IP67. The WP836 adds Wi-Fi 6, IP69K, three SIP lines and Bluetooth 5.4 but drops the 3.5 mm jack; the WP825 keeps the headset jack and uses Wi-Fi 5.
Can it be cleaned with disinfectant?
Yes — Grandstream describes the casing as chemical-resistant and anti-microbial.
Does it need a base station?
No. It registers to your SIP server over Wi-Fi; there is no DECT base.
Is the charger in the box?
Yes, the charging cradle and power supply are included.
Singular Expert Insight
The WP825 sits between the office WP820 and the Wi-Fi 6 WP836. It is the right rugged choice when staff use wired headsets, because the newer WP836 is Bluetooth-only. Headsets for both are in our office & VoIP headsets. Tell us the phone system or provider you use and we check compatibility before you buy.
