The HERMA 7386 is a 10 m x 40 cm roll of clear, non-adhesive book cover film made of smooth, embossed polypropylene with very good tear strength — for parents, schools and libraries covering school books, exercise books and timetables.

Because it is non-adhesive, the film is folded around the cover like a jacket rather than stuck to it, so it never damages the book and can be removed at the end of the school year. HERMA states it contains no PVC and is acid-free, and its flexibility makes it easy to wrap around different formats.

• 10 metres covers a whole stack of school books — usually enough for a full school year for one or two children.
• The 40 cm width suits typical A4 and A5 exercise books and school books when wrapped with an overlap on the inside of the cover.
• No glue means no residue on the book, and covers can be re-done if they get torn.
• Embossed polypropylene is less slippery and shows fewer fingerprints than smooth film, and it resists tearing at the corners.

• It does not stick by itself — you fold the overlap inside the front and back cover (a strip of tape helps hold it on thin covers).
• Very large atlases or books taller than the roll width cannot be wrapped in one piece.
• It is not a laminating film and cannot be used in a laminator.
• It will not repair loose pages or broken spines — it protects the cover only.
