The HERMA 8690 is a pack of 400 white matt paper labels measuring 148.5 x 205 mm, supplied on 400 A5 sheets with 1 label each, for offices that print large parcel and shipping address labels on an ordinary laser printer, inkjet printer or copier.
It belongs to HERMA's PREMIUM range: the labels are noticeably thicker than standard office labels, the paper has a very high whiteness for sharp text and barcodes, and the permanent adhesive is designed to grip quickly even on cool or slightly damp surfaces such as cardboard boxes stored in a warehouse. HERMA states these sheets are guaranteed not to jam in laser and inkjet printers.

What It Means in Practice
- Print straight from Word using HERMA's free templates, or design online with HERMA's free label software — enter article number 8690 and the layout is set for you.
- Works with mono and colour laser printers, inkjet printers and copiers, so the same pack can be used on whatever printer is closest.
- The all-round protective edge and flat-lying sheet are what let partly used sheets run through the printer again without peeling inside the machine.
- Permanent adhesive: once applied the label is meant to stay. If you need to re-position or remove labels cleanly, choose a removable (Movables) label instead.
What Will Not Work
- Not for thermal-transfer or direct-thermal label printers (Zebra, Brother QL/TD, DYMO LabelWriter) — those need roll labels.
- Not removable: peeling it off will normally tear the label or leave residue.
- Paper labels are not weatherproof — for outdoor, wet or oily surfaces use HERMA's outdoor film labels.
- Not an A4 sheet — make sure your printer tray and driver are set to A5 paper size before printing.
