HPE Aruba 6100 12G PoE+ Fanless Managed Switch (JL679A)
12x Gigabit PoE+139W PoE budget2x 1G/10G SFP+Fanless AOS-CX
The HPE Aruba Networking CX 6100 12G Class4 PoE 2G/2SFP+ 139W (JL679A) is a compact, fanless managed switch with 12 Gigabit PoE+ ports, two 1G/10G SFP+ uplinks and two extra 1GbE ports, backed by a 139W PoE budget. Silent and running the modern AOS-CX operating system, it is ideal for small offices, retail and quiet spaces that still need managed, powered connectivity. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The 139W PoE budget is modest - enough for roughly four devices at the full 30W (Class 4), or more at lower power - so match it to a handful of access points, cameras or phones. The two SFP+ uplinks are 1G/10G and need transceivers or DAC cables (sold separately); two additional 1GbE copper ports serve as uplinks or access. It is fanless (silent) and does not support VSF stacking; Layer 3 is static routing only. Cloud management via Aruba Central needs a subscription.
Best For
✓ Small offices, retail and reception areas
✓ Quiet spaces needing a silent, fanless switch
✓ Powering a few access points, cameras or IP phones
✓ Networks standardising on Aruba AOS-CX and Central
✓ Compact edge with 10G-capable SFP+ uplinks
✓ VLAN segmentation with basic static routing
Key Features
12 Gigabit PoE+ ports, 139W
Class 4 PoE (802.3af/at) delivers up to 30W per port from a 139W budget - right-sized for a small cluster of APs, cameras or phones.
Flexible uplinks
Two 1G/10G SFP+ uplinks plus two extra 1GbE copper ports give flexible connectivity to a core, backing a 68 Gbps switching fabric.
Fanless and silent
With no moving parts, the switch runs completely silently and reliably - ideal for offices, shops and other noise-sensitive spaces.
Modern AOS-CX management
AOS-CX brings a database-driven architecture and consistent management via web UI, CLI, SNMP and the Aruba Central cloud.

Singular Expert Insight
The 6100 12G is the compact, fanless member of Aruba's CX 6100 family: silent operation, AOS-CX and PoE+ in a small chassis make it a tidy fit for offices, shops and reception areas. Its 139W budget and 12 ports are deliberately modest - match it to a handful of powered devices rather than a dense floor. For more ports, PoE or stacking, the 24G/48G 6100 or the CX 6200 step up. Browse our wider switch range or add Aruba access points to power over its PoE+ ports.
Buyer's Guide
Buy it if
You want a compact, silent, fanless 12-port Gigabit PoE+ switch with 10G-capable SFP+ uplinks and modern AOS-CX management for a small or quiet space.
Skip it if
You need more ports, a bigger PoE budget, VSF stacking or OSPF - step up to the 24G/48G 6100 or the Aruba CX 6200/6300 series.
Also consider
The Aruba 6100 24G/48G for more ports and PoE, or the CX 6200 for stacking and fuller Layer 3.
