Hikvision DS-1280ZJ-DM8 — a waterproof junction box for dome cameras
Junction boxWaterproof designSide + bottom inletWhite
The Hikvision DS-1280ZJ-DM8 is a waterproof aluminium alloy junction box for dome cameras. It sits between the wall or ceiling and the camera, keeps the cable connections protected inside, and lets you bring the cable in from the side or from the bottom — the bottom waterproof cover and the side gland nut are interchangeable. It measures 126.7 x 35 mm, weighs about 210 g and is finished in Hikvision white.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Hikvision describes it as a junction box for dome cameras but does not list compatible models on its product page, so match the camera base to the box before you order. Its maximum load is 1 kg (Hikvision datasheet), much lower than the smaller DS-1280ZJ-DM18, and the two are not interchangeable. Hikvision also sells a black DM8 and a newer DS-1280ZJ-DM8-Y, which are different codes. Tell us the exact model you have and we check compatibility before you order.

Singular Expert Insight
The DM8 is the choice when the cable has to come in from the side along the wall and the box must stay sealed outdoors. Because Hikvision sizes each DS-1280ZJ box to specific dome bases, always confirm the camera model first. Cameras are in our IP cameras range and more mounting parts in our networking accessories.
