The Orbit 7190g combines a 20-line laser for merchandise 1D labels with a separate area imager for 1D, PDF and 2D codes, including digital codes on smartphones. That is its practical difference from an ordinary 1D Orbit: the same checkout position can accept product labels and customer digital coupons. The black USB kit includes a 3 m straight USB-A cable.

Before you order:
USB supplies both data and power. Other supported interfaces need their appropriate cable and host setup. Reading a coupon or ID barcode supplies its data; acceptance and validation depend on the POS application.

Two reading engines
The laser handles standard 1D merchandise labels; the imager adds 2D and screen reading. Their ranges differ, so the specifications separate them.
 
Countertop or lifted use
Keep both hands available for normal presentation scanning, then lift the scanner for a bulky item. The head adjusts through a 30° range.
 
Dual working modes
The scanner adapts its reading behavior for cashier merchandise scanning and customer smartphone codes. Automatic interface detection simplifies connection.
