The black QuantumT 3580 USB kit is a compact wired 1D laser scanner with a weighted square base and 2.8 m straight USB-A cable. Present a product label for hands-free scanning, or use the single-line button mode when several barcodes are printed together. CodeGate helps target and transmit the intended code; the connected POS application handles the price lookup or other action.

Before you order:
MK3580-31A38 is the black USB kit. Supported RS232 and other interfaces do not mean those cables are included. This is a 1D laser reader; choose a 2D imager if QR coupons or Data Matrix labels are required.

What Will Not Work

  • QR, Data Matrix and PDF417 decoding are not supported by this 1D engine.

Two scanning patterns
The 20-line pattern helps present linear labels without aligning one laser line. Switch to a single line for a menu sheet so neighbouring codes are less likely to be selected accidentally.
 
Small counter footprint
The 66 × 67 × 108 mm body and weighted base suit limited counter space. Handheld use helps reach a bulky item; optional stands serve different installation heights.
 
Rate is not checkout throughput
The 1,650 figure counts laser scan lines per second. It does not mean 1,650 separate products are processed every second; label quality and the application determine actual workflow speed.
