HP 125 — Wired USB Keyboard, Ukrainian, Black
3 mm key travelSpill resistantTilt adjustableRecycled plastic
The HP 125 (266C9AA#A2Q) is HP’s plain wired office keyboard, and the number worth knowing is the key travel: 3 mm on a plunger key, a full desktop stroke rather than the flat tap of a laptop board. The layout is full size in three zones with a numeric pad, Caps and Num lock indicators, a PC lock key, and tilt-adjustable feet. It is spill resistant, measures 436 × 138 × 20.5 mm, and connects over USB-A, plug and play. HP also publishes the recycled content: over 50% of the plastics are recycled materials. In the box: keyboard, quick setup poster, warranty card and product notice.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Layout: Ukrainian keycaps carry the Cyrillic alphabet alongside Latin QWERTY letters, and you switch scripts with the operating system language key. Choose it only if someone at the desk types Ukrainian; for English use in Cyprus ask us for the US or UK version of the same model. This is a wired USB-A keyboard: nothing to charge, nothing to pair, and it works in the BIOS and in boot menus. There is no wireless option, no Bluetooth, no backlight and no palm rest. HP lists Windows 10 and Windows 11; the keyboard follows standard USB HID so it types on macOS and Linux too, with the keys labelled for Windows. Two things HP does not publish for this model: a key count and a key-life rating, and above all a public table of its localisation suffixes — the code after the # is what fixes the national layout, and HP does not publish what each code means. If the exact layout is critical, tell us and we will confirm the suffix with HP before you order. HP also prints a 0.08 kg weight on some regional pages that plainly belongs to the HP 125 mouse, so we do not repeat a weight here.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it work before Windows loads?
Yes. It is a wired USB keyboard, so it is available in the BIOS and in boot menus.
How spill resistant is it?
HP calls the design spill resistant but publishes no liquid-volume or IP figure for it. Treat it as protection against an accident, not a washable keyboard.
What is the PC lock key?
A dedicated key that locks the computer, which is why this board turns up on shared and public desks where people step away from the machine.
Which layout is this part number?
The code after the # is HP’s localisation suffix. HP does not publish a public table of these codes, so if the exact national layout is critical, tell us and we will confirm it with HP before you order.
Singular Expert Insight
The HP 125 is a good, plain wired keyboard and the 3 mm travel is the reason to choose it over the flat cheap boards. If you want published key-life figures and laser-etched legends instead, the CHERRY KC 1000 is the better-documented alternative. See our
keyboards.
