HP 305XL High Yield Tri-color Original Ink Cartridge — ~300 pages, 5 ml, for HP DeskJet 2700/4100 & ENVY 6000/6400

HP 3YM63AE is the HP 305XL High Yield Tri-color Original Ink Cartridge, rated at ~300 pages (ISO/IEC 24711 or HP testing methodology) — for home offices and small businesses that want more pages between replacements.

Cyan, magenta and yellow sit in one cartridge, so it is replaced as a single unit when any of the three colours runs low. Black text is printed by the separate HP 305 or 305XL Black cartridge.

• 1 x HP 305XL High Yield Tri-color Original Ink Cartridge (3YM63AE) in HP retail packaging
• Cartridge only — other colours and printer accessories are sold separately

• ~300 pages is the HP rated average (ISO/IEC 24711 or HP testing methodology, tested in HP ENVY 6000 All-in-One series). Pages with photos, large colour areas or frequent single-page jobs use more ink, so real-world yield varies.
• 5 ml of dye-based ink — dye ink gives bright colour on plain and photo paper.
• XL means more pages from the same slot than the standard cartridge, so fewer replacements and a lower cost per page.
• Installation: open the cartridge door, wait for the carriage to stop, unclip the old cartridge, remove the protective tape from the new one and click it in. The printer may run a short alignment.
• Genuine HP supply: the printer recognises it and does not show non-original supply warnings.

• Printers not listed here that use a different cartridge number — HP 304 and HP 302 cartridges look similar but fit different DeskJet/ENVY generations and are not interchangeable with 305.
• It does not replace the black cartridge — black text needs the HP 305 or 305XL Black cartridge.
