HP 80X Original Black High-Yield LaserJet Toner Dual Pack, 2 × 6,900 Pages, for LaserJet Pro 400 M401 and MFP M425
HP 80X Black High-Yield LaserJet Toner — Dual Pack
The HP 80X Dual Pack is a box of two original HP high-yield black LaserJet toner cartridges, each rated for approx. 6,900 pages (ISO/IEC 19752), made for the HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401 printers and the LaserJet Pro 400 MFP M425. It suits offices that print text-heavy documents every day and want a spare cartridge ready on the shelf.
Buying two together means the printer is never stopped by a "toner low" message: one cartridge goes in, the second stays sealed until it is needed. The 80X is the high-yield option of the HP 80 family, so each cartridge prints well over twice as many pages as the standard HP 80A.

What It Means in Practice
- The page count is the manufacturer's declared yield, measured with the ISO/IEC 19752 test method (about 5% coverage per page). Photos, full-page graphics and heavy fills use more toner, so real-world counts are often lower.
- Two separate cartridges in one box: fit one and keep the second sealed until the printer reports low toner.
- High-yield HP 80X and standard HP 80A cartridges fit the same printers — the 80X simply prints more pages per cartridge, so the cost per page is lower.
- Store unopened cartridges flat in their original packaging, away from direct sunlight and heat, and open the sealed bag only when you install it.
- Before ordering, check the code printed on the cartridge currently in your printer, or the supplies page of the printer menu — matching that code is the fastest way to be sure.
What Will Not Work
- Printers that are not on the compatible list below, even models with a similar name — supply codes are model-specific.
- Newer HP LaserJet Pro M402/M426 and M404/M428 models — similar naming, but they take a different cartridge series.
- Colour printing — the HP 80 series is black only for monochrome printers.
