HP 924 Black Original Ink Cartridge — for HP OfficeJet Pro 8120/8130
~500 pages12.5 mlOriginal HP inkOriginal HP
The HP 924 Black Original Ink Cartridge (4K0U6NE) is a genuine HP black cartridge for the HP OfficeJet Pro 8120e, 8130e, 8135e and the 8122–8139 All-in-One models. HP rates it at approximately 500 pages under ISO/IEC 24711 or HP testing methodology, tested in the HP OfficeJet Pro 8120 series.
Each colour in this system is a separate cartridge, so you replace only the colour that has run out — practical for offices that print mostly one colour, such as blue logos or yellow highlights.
Before you order: HP 924 (standard) and HP 924e EvoMore (high capacity) fit the same OfficeJet Pro 8120/8130 printers and can be mixed colour by colour. HP 953 cartridges from the older OfficeJet Pro 8710/8720 do not fit. Note: HP 924e EvoMore Black (4K0V0NE) is the high-capacity version.
What's in the Box
- 1 x HP 924 Black ink cartridge
- Cartridge sealed in its protective packaging until use
- No printer, cable, paper or printhead included
What It Means in Practice
- The 500-page figure comes from a standard test with continuous printing of a mixed document set. Plain text documents usually go further; full-page colour, photos and many short print jobs use more ink.
- Because each colour is a separate cartridge, the printer will tell you which one is low and you replace only that one — keep a spare of the colour you use most.
- Keep the cartridge sealed in its pack until you install it, store it at room temperature, and install it promptly once opened so the ink does not dry at the nozzles.
- If you print a lot, compare with the higher-capacity version: HP 924e EvoMore Black (4K0V0NE) is the high-capacity version.
- A low-ink warning is an early alert: you can usually keep printing for a while, so order the replacement when it appears instead of waiting for the cartridge to run completely empty.
- After installing, print the printer's print-quality or test page once to confirm every colour is printing cleanly before a long or important job.
What Will Not Work
- Printers that use HP 953 cartridges — the shape and contacts are different, so it will not fit or will not be recognised.
- Refill kits or ink bottles: this is a sealed original cartridge, not an ink tank system.
- Other colours: this pack contains black only — the other colours of the 924 system are bought separately.
- It does not include a printhead — the printhead stays in the printer and is not replaced with the cartridge — and it will not fix print faults caused by a damaged printer.
Key Features
Original HP ink
HP matches the ink, the cartridge and the printer, so colours, line quality and drying stay as the printer was designed.
Published yield
HP rates it at about 500 pages under ISO/IEC 24711, so you can plan replacements and compare cost per page.
Replace one colour at a time
Open the front cover or access door, remove the empty cartridge and click the new one into place — no tools needed.
Correct fit
HP 924 (standard) and HP 924e EvoMore (high capacity) fit the same OfficeJet Pro 8120/8130 printers and can be mixed colour by colour.
