The HP Nano Keyed Cable Lock (1AJ39AA) secures a laptop, 2-in-1 or thin client that has a Nano security slot to a desk or other fixed object with a 1.83 m (6 ft) vinyl-coated galvanised steel cable, for offices, classrooms and shared spaces where devices are left unattended.

Nano slots are the small, slim security slots used on thin modern HP devices such as EliteBook and Elite x2 models, where a classic Standard T-bar lock no longer fits. The lock head rotates through 360 degrees so you can position the cable however the desk layout needs it.

• Loop the cable around a desk leg, insert the lock head in the Nano slot and turn the key 90 degrees clockwise to lock.
• The 360-degree head lets the cable leave the laptop at the angle that suits the desk, without bending sharply.
• A simple visible lock deters opportunistic theft in open offices, hot desks, schools and receptions.
• HP lists the lock for devices such as EliteBook 1040 G4, EliteBook x360, Elite x2, Pro x2 and Chromebook 11 G6, as well as newer HP devices with a Nano slot.

• Laptops with a Standard (T-bar) or Wedge-shaped slot — the Nano head is smaller and will not lock in those.
