The Poly Edge B10 is the entry model of Poly’s Edge B series of business IP phones, in black. It supports up to 8 SIP line registrations with 2 lines shown on its 2.8-inch display and 8 line-key assignments by pagination, Poly HD Voice with G.722 and Opus, and two Gigabit Ethernet ports. HP’s 84C19AA version comes with its power supply in the box.

In practice, the B10 gives a Poly look and sound on a budget: it sits on the desk or wall, passes Gigabit through to the computer, and plugs into a power socket. It does not take power from a PoE switch, so every desk needs a socket.

Compatibility — check before buying:
No PoE: the B10 always runs from its supplied power supply. For PoE, Poly sells the Edge B20. Wireless headsets need an optional EHS adapter; USB and Bluetooth headsets are not supported. It needs a SIP account or IP PBX — not an analogue line. Not sure it suits your setup? Tell us your VoIP provider or phone system and how the desk is cabled, and we check it for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it work without a phone system?
No. Poly’s Edge B10 is a SIP phone: it needs a SIP account from a VoIP provider or an extension on an office IP PBX, and it connects over the computer network, not to a normal analogue phone line. Tell us which provider or phone system you use and we confirm the setup before you order.
Can I power it from a PoE switch?
No. Poly states PoE is not supported on the Edge B10; it runs from the power supply in the box. If you want PoE, the Poly Edge B20 is the PoE-enabled model.
Which headsets work with it?
Wired headsets on the RJ9 jack or a 3.5 mm headset. Supported wireless headsets connect through an optional EHS adapter. USB and Bluetooth headsets do not connect directly. See our office headsets or ask us for a match.
What warranty do I get?
Singular gives a 1-year direct warranty on the Edge B10. Poly (HP) lists its standard one-year limited warranty in the datasheet. Beyond our first year we help you with the manufacturer’s process, so you are not left to deal with it alone.
