HP Poly Mission 815 Monaural USB Wired Headset

A mono USB headset for noisy open offices and contact centres, with active noise cancelling.
Monaural3-mic AI noise reductionUSB-C + USB-AActive Noise Cancelling
The HP Poly Mission 815 Monaural USB Wired Headset (part number C01F8AA#AC3) is a wired one-ear headset for Microsoft Teams, Zoom and softphone calls, with 3-microphone AI noise reduction and super wideband audio. It plugs in with a 2 m USB-C cable and ships with a USB-C to USB-A adapter, so it works with new and older laptops and desktops.
Compatibility Note: This is a single-earpiece (monaural) headset: one ear stays open to the room. It connects by USB only, with no 3.5 mm jack and no Bluetooth, so it will not plug into a desk phone or a phone headphone socket.

Key Features

3-microphone AI noise reduction
The boom microphone uses AI noise reduction to filter keyboards, voices and background sound, so the other side hears your voice rather than the office. More microphones mean better voice pickup in louder rooms. The 130 mm boom rotates 285° to wear on either side.

Super wideband audio
32 mm speakers cover 20 Hz–20 kHz and the microphone 50 Hz–16 kHz, so voices sound natural on calls and music or training videos sound full. SoundGuard Digital limits sudden loud spikes.

Active noise cancelling
Built-in ANC with an on/off button on the inline control reduces constant background noise such as air conditioning and open-office chatter, so you can focus between and during calls.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the HP Poly Mission 815 work with a USB-A only PC?
Yes. The headset has a USB-C plug and HP includes a USB-C to USB-A adapter in the box, so it works with USB-A ports on older desktops and docks as well as USB-C laptops.
What is the difference between the Mission 815 and its siblings?
The 800 series is the top Mission line: active noise cancelling plus 3 (815) or 4 (825) microphones and busy lights. The 600 series has two microphones and no ANC. The 815 is one-ear, the 825 two-ear.
Can I use it with a mobile phone?
Yes, with a USB-C phone or tablet (Android or iOS with USB-C). HP lists Android and iOS as compatible. For wireless use with a phone, choose a Bluetooth headset instead.
Singular Expert Insight
The Mission 815 is a sensible premium pick for teams standardising on Microsoft Teams: plug-and-play USB, a Teams button and HP Poly Studio management. The Mission 825 is the stereo version with four microphones; the Mission 615 drops ANC if your office is already quiet.
✓ Buy it if you work in a loud open office or contact centre and want ANC plus 3 microphones in a wired headset.
✕ Skip it if you need wireless freedom or a headset for a desk phone (no Bluetooth, no 3.5 mm or QD).
→ Also consider Mission 625 without ANC for quieter rooms, or other office headsets.
