The backpack version of HP's Renew Executive, with a tracker pocket
Fits 16" laptops17.2L expanding to 20.5L100% recycled PET exteriorRFID-blocking pocketTracker pocketExterior USB-C port
This is the backpack in HP's Renew Executive family, and it carries the same unusual feature set as the shoulder bag: an RFID-blocking pocket, a dedicated tracker pocket, an exterior USB-C port fed by an internal power-bank pocket, and lockable zippers. The exterior material contains 100 percent recycled PET before dye is added - the equivalent of nine recycled water bottles. It expands by up to 20 percent when you need the room, from 17.2 to 20.5 litres.
Compatibility — check before buying:
HP publishes a maximum device size of 251 x 26 x 361 mm and describes it as fitting most 16-inch diagonal laptops. The 26 mm depth is the figure to check against your machine. HP does not publish a separate tablet pocket for this backpack. One naming note: this part number, 6B8Y1UT, is HP's Smart Buy channel SKU, and HP names it "HP Renew Executive 16 Laptop Backpack". The retail SKU 6B8Y1AA is named "HP Renew Executive 16-inch Laptop Backpack". They are the same physical bag - identical dimensions, materials, features and box contents.
Best For
✓ You want the backpack rather than the shoulder bag in HP's Renew Executive family
✓ Recycled content is a procurement requirement - 100 percent recycled PET in the exterior material before dye
✓ You want a tracker pocket built in, so a Bluetooth tag has a proper home
✓ You charge on the move: an exterior USB-C port with a dedicated interior power-bank pocket
✓ You want an RFID pocket, lockable zips and a water bottle or umbrella pocket
✓ You need a bit of flex: the bag expands by up to 20 percent
Key Features
100 percent recycled PET exterior
HP's exact wording: the exterior material contains 100 percent recycled PET prior to the addition of dye, the equivalent of nine 16.9 oz recycled plastic water bottles. Note that the 100 percent applies to the exterior material specifically, before dyeing.
Dedicated tracker pocket
An interior pocket sized for a Bluetooth tracker - a feature very few business backpacks include, and one that costs nothing until the day you need it.
Exterior USB-C port with an internal power bank pocket
A real USB-C port on the outside of the bag, fed by a cable pass-through from a dedicated interior power-bank pocket. There is no battery in the bag; you supply the power bank.
RFID-blocking pocket and lockable zips
An exterior RFID-blocking pocket for cards and passports, plus lockable zippers.
Expands up to 20 percent
17.2 litres normally, 20.5 litres expanded. The depth goes from 135 mm to 155 mm, so the bag stays slim on a normal day and takes the extra when you need it.
Water bottle and umbrella pocket
An external pocket for a bottle or a wet umbrella - which the Renew Executive shoulder bag does not have.
Reflective material and a sanitizable finish
Reflective material for visibility, and a durable, easy-to-clean sanitizable surface.

Singular Expert Insight
Two clarifications worth making. First, 6B8Y1UT and 6B8Y1AA are the same bag - if you are cross-shopping, do not treat them as two products, but do note HP genuinely names them slightly differently ("16" versus "16-inch"). Second, the recycled claim here is recycled PET at 100 percent of the exterior material before dye. That is a precise, checkable statement, and it is not the same as the ocean-bound plastic language HP uses on its Renew Business bags - mixing the two would be an unsupported environmental claim. One practical warning: at least one large retailer's spec table for this bag states that the tracker pocket is not included and that water resistance is not specified. Both are contradicted by HP's own datasheet. The features are there.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
In stock at Singular in Cyprus. Order online for delivery across the island, or contact us for business quantities.
Skip it if
Skip it if you expect the USB-C port to charge anything on its own - it is fed by a power bank you supply, and no battery is included. Skip it if you need a sternum strap, which HP does not publish for this model. And do not let HP's Renew Business range bleed into this one: those bags carry an ocean-bound plastic claim that HP does not make for the Renew Executive.
