HP x755w 64 GB — 75 / 30 MB/s, Sliding Capless, 8.8 g
64 GBUSB 3.1, Type-A75 MB/s read / 30 MB/s write55 x 17.2 x 9.5 mm, 8.8 g
The HP x755w is a 64 GB USB 3.1 flash drive in a sliding capless body, 55 x 17.2 x 9.5 mm and 8.8 g. PNY, which makes and warrants HP-branded drives, publishes read speeds of up to 75 MB/s and write speeds of up to 30 MB/s for this capacity — higher than the 16 and 32 GB versions of the same drive.
Compatibility — check before buying:
HP does not make this drive. HP-branded flash memory is manufactured and warranted under licence by PNY Technologies, which publishes the specification and the warranty. Any claim goes to PNY, which is also why HP’s own site carries no specification for it. This is a USB Type-A drive with no USB-C connector and no adapter in the pack. The speeds here are published per capacity, and 64 GB is where the range steps up. PNY states 70 MB/s read and 20 MB/s write at 16 and 32 GB, and 75 / 30 at 64, 128 and 256 GB. So this drive writes half as fast again as the 32 GB, not merely holding twice as much — a genuine reason to choose this size. One family to keep clear of: the HP 712w (
HPFD712B-A-…) is the newer everyday HP stick at up to 120 MB/s read, and the v212 and v222w are USB 2.0 drives at 14 MB/s and 3 to 4 MB/s write respectively. All four wear the same badge. Order by part number. PNY publishes no material, no colour as a specification row and no keyring loop for the x755w, so none appear here — the drive is blue in PNY’s own imagery.Best For

Key Features
30 MB/s write, and that matters
Writing is the direction you actually wait on. At 64 GB PNY publishes 30 MB/s against 20 for the smaller versions — half as fast again, for what is usually a small price step.
Speeds published per capacity
PNY states 70 / 20 for the 16 and 32 GB and 75 / 30 for the 64 GB and above. Most makers quote one number for a whole family; publishing two tiers is more honest and tells you which size to buy.
Sliding capless design
The connector slides out of the body rather than sitting under a removable cap. Nothing to lose, and nothing rattling loose in a bag.
Published dimensions and weight
55 x 17.2 x 9.5 mm and 8.8 g. On HP-branded drives that is not a given — PNY publishes neither for the newer 712w.

Singular Expert Insight
The x755w is the best-documented of the HP-branded drives, and at 64 GB it is the sweet spot of the line: this is where PNY’s published figures step up from 70 / 20 to 75 / 30, so you gain write speed as well as capacity over the smaller versions. Add a sliding body with nothing to lose, real published dimensions and weight, and a two-year term, and it is a sensible everyday stick. If raw read speed is the priority, the HP 712w claims up to 120 MB/s — but publishes no write figure at all, so you are trading documentation for a headline. Several drives in our USB flash drives range publish both per capacity. For large working files, an external SSD is the right class of product.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want a 64 GB USB-A stick with no cap to lose, published read and write figures measured at that capacity, and a two-year term.
Skip it if
You want the fastest HP-badged stick on paper — that is the 712w at 120 MB/s read. Or you need a USB-C connector.
Also consider
HP x755w 128 GB or 256 GB at the same 75 / 30. HP 712w for up to 120 MB/s read. Silicon Power Blaze B30 if you want read and write both published per capacity from another brand.
