The HPE Aruba Networking R3J18A (AP-MNT-D) is an individual type D mount bracket kit for mounting an Aruba campus access point on a solid surface, such as a wall or a hard ceiling. HPE describes it as a campus access point mount bracket with solid surface for select Aruba products, and the Aruba 500 Series ordering guide lists the type A to E and X mounts for its access points. The bracket fixes to the surface and the access point locks onto it. In practice it is the kit you order for each access point that goes on concrete, brick or plasterboard rather than into a suspended ceiling grid.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Type D is for solid surfaces, not ceiling rails. For suspended ceilings choose the matching rail type: AP-MNT-A (flat 9/16″), AP-MNT-B (flat 15/16″), AP-MNT-B1 (15/16″ thick) or AP-MNT-C (profile 9/16″); AP-MNT-E is for wall boxes, and older W2/W3 mounts need the X adapter. HPE points to each access point’s QuickSpecs for the exact model list, so send us your access point model and we confirm type D fits. For larger projects, the same type D mount comes as a 10-pack, AP-MNT-MP10-D (Q9G71A).
