HPE Aruba Instant On 1930 8G (JL681A) 8-Port Gigabit PoE+ Smart Managed Switch
8× Gigabit PoE+124W PoE BudgetSmart Managed + CloudFanless + 2 SFP
The HPE Aruba Instant On 1930 8G (JL681A) is an 8-port Gigabit PoE+ smart managed switch with two SFP uplinks and a 124W budget, built for small businesses that want managed control plus simple cloud or app management. Part number JL681A offers VLANs, QoS, static routing and IGMP, managed locally or through the Aruba Instant On mobile app and cloud, in a silent fanless chassis. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
All 8 ports are Gigabit PoE+ (Class 4, up to 30W each) sharing a 124W budget — enough for a set of typical cameras or phones, with fewer full-30W devices. The two SFP slots are Gigabit fibre uplinks (modules separate). As a smart managed (L2+) switch it supports VLANs, QoS, static routing and ACLs, but not full dynamic routing.
Best For
✓Small business and branch PoE networks
✓Cloud or app-managed setups (Instant On)
✓IP cameras needing VLAN separation
✓Powering VoIP phones and Wi-Fi access points
✓Silent, fanless placement in work spaces
✓Fibre uplinks via the SFP ports
Key Features
8× Gigabit PoE+, 124W
Eight Gigabit ports each deliver PoE+ up to 30W from a shared 124W budget, powering a set of cameras, phones or access points over one cable each.
Smart Managed L2+
VLANs, QoS, static routing, ACLs and IGMP snooping give you segmentation and control well beyond an unmanaged switch.
Instant On Cloud & App
Manage and monitor the switch from the Aruba Instant On mobile app or cloud portal, or locally via web — ideal for small businesses without dedicated IT.
Fanless, Silent Operation
A passively cooled chassis makes no noise, so the switch sits comfortably in an office, reception or retail space.

Buyer's Guide
Buy it if
You want eight managed PoE+ ports with VLANs and easy cloud/app management for a small business or branch, silent and with fibre uplinks.
Skip it if
You need more than eight PoE ports, more than 124W of PoE, or full dynamic Layer 3 routing.
Also consider
The Instant On 1930 24G or 48G for more ports, or an unmanaged PoE switch if you do not need VLANs.
