The HPE P64336-B21 is the genuine HPE 16GB (1x16GB) Single Rank x8 DDR5-4800 CAS-40-39-39 Unbuffered Standard Memory Kit — an ECC UDIMM for the entry-level HPE ProLiant ML30 Gen11, DL20 Gen11 and MicroServer Gen11.
These Xeon E-based Gen11 servers use unbuffered ECC DDR5 memory rather than the registered modules of larger ProLiant systems: HPE states that only ECC UDIMMs are supported, with no support for non-ECC UDIMMs, RDIMMs or LRDIMMs. This kit is the HPE-matched part for adding memory or replacing a module while keeping an all-HPE configuration for support purposes.
Before you order: This is an ECC Unbuffered DDR5 UDIMM for ProLiant ML30, DL20 and MicroServer Gen11. It does not work in ProLiant servers that use DDR5 Registered (RDIMM) memory such as the DL360/DL380 Gen11, and it is not a desktop non-ECC module. Send us your server model if you are unsure.

- Actual memory speed is set by the processor and population: on the DL20 Gen11 HPE quotes 4400 MT/s with one DIMM per channel and 4000 MT/s with two (Xeon 6300 / E-series).
- Populate memory according to the server's QuickSpecs; identical modules in each channel give dual-channel bandwidth.
- ECC corrects single-bit errors — the reason these small business servers use ECC UDIMMs instead of desktop memory.
- Being an HPE part, it is recognised by the server's management (iLO) as genuine HPE memory.

- ProLiant Gen11 servers that take Registered DDR5 (DL3xx, ML350 and similar)
- Desktop PCs or motherboards that only accept non-ECC memory
- DDR4 servers such as ML30/DL20 Gen10 — different notch and pin layout
- Mixing with RDIMMs or LRDIMMs in the same system
