i-tec SOLOMON 500 4K PDAF Webcam (CAMSOLOMON4K500)

4K Ultra HDPDAF autofocus1080p at 60 fpsDual microphones

The i-tec SOLOMON 500 (CAMSOLOMON4K500) is a 4K Ultra HD USB webcam with phase-detection autofocus (PDAF) for sharp, stable video calls and presentations. Its 1/2.5-inch 8.29 MP CMOS sensor records 3840 × 2160 at 30 fps, 2560 × 1440 at 30 fps or 1920 × 1080 at 60 fps, with an 81° field of view that suits a single user at a desk.

PDAF locks focus quickly and avoids the “hunting” of cheaper contrast-detect cameras when you move or hold up documents. Automatic exposure, white balance and black-level calibration keep the image natural, and two built-in microphones pick up speech within about 3 m. It connects via a 1.5 m USB-C cable with a USB-A adapter and works plug-and-play in Teams, Zoom, Meet and other apps.

Key Features

Phase-detection autofocus
PDAF focuses fast and precisely without focus hunting, even while you move — ideal for showing products or paperwork on camera.

Smooth 1080p/60 or sharp 4K
Choose 4K/30 for maximum detail or Full HD at 60 fps for smoother motion in meetings and demos.

Flexible mounting
A universal clip with rubber pads grips monitors and laptops, and the 1/4-inch thread fits standard tripods (tripod not included).

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the SOLOMON 500 compatible with Microsoft Teams and Zoom?
Yes. It is a standard UVC plug-and-play USB camera, so Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Webex and browser-based apps recognise it without drivers on Windows, macOS, ChromeOS and Linux.
Does it have a privacy shutter?
No, the SOLOMON 500 has no built-in shutter. If you want one, the SOLOMON WH200, SOLOMON 200 and SOLOMON PRO 900 include an integrated privacy cover.
How does it differ from the SOLOMON PRO 900?
The SOLOMON 500 focuses on image sharpness with PDAF autofocus and 1080p at 60 fps. The PRO 900 adds AI auto-framing, 5× digital zoom, WDR, a wider 92° view and a privacy shutter for executive and small-room use.
Singular Expert Insight
The sweet spot of the SOLOMON range for people who present on camera: true 4K and, more importantly, reliable PDAF focus. It suits consultants, trainers and sales staff who show items to the lens. Users who mainly need a wide shot of a small meeting room should look at the PRO 900 instead.
✓ Buy it if you want a sharp 4K personal webcam that keeps focus when you move or show documents.
✕ Skip it if you need a privacy shutter or Windows Hello face login.
→ Also consider i-tec SOLOMON PRO 900 (AI framing, shutter) or i-tec SOLOMON 700 STREAM (ring light, 9:16 mode).
