i-tec SOLOMON WH200 2K Webcam with Windows Hello (CAMSOLOMON2KW200)

Windows Hello2K QHD92° wide viewPrivacy shutter

The i-tec SOLOMON WH200 (CAMSOLOMON2KW200) is a 2K QHD USB webcam with native Windows Hello support, so Windows 10/11 users can sign in with their face instead of a password — even on desktop PCs and docked laptops whose built-in camera is closed. It records 2560 × 1440 at 30 fps from a 1/3-inch 4 MP sensor with a wide 92° field of view.

An integrated privacy shutter physically covers the lens when not in use, and automatic exposure, white balance and black-level calibration keep video natural. The fixed-focus lens, built-in microphone and plug-and-play USB connection (1.5 m USB-C cable with USB-A adapter) make it an easy standard camera for corporate desks.

Compatibility note: Windows Hello face recognition works only on Windows 10/11. On macOS, ChromeOS, Linux and mobile systems the WH200 works as a normal 2K webcam.

Key Features

Face login with Windows Hello
Native Windows Hello support allows fast, password-free sign-in on Windows 10/11 — useful for docked laptops with the lid closed.

Wide 92° view in 2K
QHD resolution with a 92° field of view fits a user plus whiteboard or a colleague beside you.

Built-in privacy shutter
A physical cover blocks the lens when you are not in a call, a common requirement in corporate security policies.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Windows Hello work with an external webcam like the WH200?
Yes. i-tec specifies native Windows Hello support for the WH200; once connected, set it up under Settings › Accounts › Sign-in options › Facial recognition.
Is 2K better than 1080p for Teams calls?
Most conferencing apps send 1080p or lower, but 2K gives extra detail for cropping and a sharper image in recordings; the wide 92° view is the bigger practical benefit.
What is the difference between the WH200 and the SOLOMON 200?
The WH200 adds Windows Hello, 2K resolution and a wider 92° view. The SOLOMON 200 is a simpler 1080p business webcam with dual noise-reducing mics and an 85° view.
Singular Expert Insight
For Windows fleets this is the practical upgrade: face login at the desk plus a privacy shutter ticks two IT boxes at once. Image quality is solid 2K with fixed focus, so it is aimed at office calls rather than creators. Choose the SOLOMON 500 if autofocus and 4K matter more than Windows Hello.
✓ Buy it if you use Windows 10/11 and want password-free face login with a privacy shutter.
✕ Skip it if you are on Mac only or need autofocus for close-up demos.
→ Also consider i-tec SOLOMON 200 (1080p, lower cost) or i-tec SOLOMON 500 (4K PDAF).
