i-tec USB-C/USB-A Charging Metal HUB 7 Port (CAHUBMETAL7)
7 ports3× USB-C + 4× USB-A5 GbpsAluminium
The i-tec CAHUBMETAL7 is a 7-port USB 3.2 Gen 1 hub in an aluminium housing that adds three USB-C and four USB-A ports to any laptop, desktop or tablet with a USB-C, USB-A, USB4 or Thunderbolt port. Every port runs at up to 5 Gbps and supports BC 1.2 charging at up to 7.5 W, so it works both as a data hub and as a small charging station for phones, earbuds and accessories.
The 30 cm integrated cable ends in USB-C with a USB-A plug option, so the same hub moves between a new USB-C notebook and an older USB-A desktop. An extra USB-C power input accepts up to 15 W (5 V / 3 A) from a separate USB charger when several power-hungry devices are connected; the hub itself does not pass charging power back to the laptop.
Compatibility note: The additional USB-C port is a power input for the hub (max 15 W, charger not included) — it does not charge the connected laptop. All seven ports share the single 5 Gbps upstream link to the host.
Key Features
Seven ports in one strip
Three USB-C and four USB-A ports cover keyboards, mice, flash drives, external SSDs and USB-C accessories without adapters.
BC 1.2 charging on every port
Each port supplies up to 7.5 W for phones, headsets and wearables; with the optional 15 W input the hub can keep several devices topped up at once.
USB-C and USB-A host connection
The 30 cm integrated cable plugs into USB-C, USB4 or Thunderbolt 3/4/5 ports, or into USB-A via the attached plug, and works plug-and-play on all common operating systems.

Singular Expert Insight
A tidy way to turn one USB-C (or USB-A) port into seven, with the bonus of accessory charging on every port. It suits desks with many USB peripherals or anyone who charges phones and earbuds from the laptop. If you also need a monitor or wired network, a docking station is the better buy.
✓ Buy it if you need lots of USB-C and USB-A ports from one host port and want to charge small devices from them.
✕ Skip it if you need to charge the laptop through the hub or connect a monitor.
→ Also consider i-tec CAHUBMETAL2A2CPD (4 ports + 85 W PD pass-through) or i-tec CAMETALG325HUB (3 ports + 2.5 GbE LAN).
