The ICY DOCK EZConvert MB705M2P-B converts one M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD into the dimensions, mounting-hole positions and connector layout of a standard 9.5 mm 2.5-inch U.2 NVMe drive. It is designed for compatible U.2 backplanes, mounting brackets and removable enclosures where tool-free drive installation, protection and cooling are valuable.

Compatibility & What's in the Box
Supports one M-key or B+M-key M.2 PCIe 3.0/4.0 NVMe SSD in 2230, 2242, 2260 or 2280 length. A compatible U.2 SFF-8639 connection, backplane, cable or enclosure is required. M.2 SATA SSDs and ordinary SATA drive bays are not supported. The package includes the MB705M2P-B adapter, mounting screws, user manual and thermal pads.

No. The MB705M2P-B supports M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs only. For an M.2 SATA SSD, use an adapter specifically designed for the SATA interface.
Will it work in a normal 2.5-inch SATA bay?
No. Although it has a 2.5-inch form factor, it requires a compatible U.2 SFF-8639 NVMe connection, backplane, cable or enclosure.
Does it support hot-swapping?
