An external dual-bay RAID enclosure for building USB 3.0 or eSATA storage with two 3.5 inch SATA hard drives.
2x 3.5 inch HDDRAID 0/1/JBODUSB 3.0 + eSATA
The ICY BOX IB-RD3620SU3 is an external 2-bay RAID enclosure for two 3.5 inch SATA I/II/III hard drives. It supports RAID 0, RAID 1 and JBOD modes, connects via USB 3.0 or eSATA, and uses an aluminium housing with a temperature-controlled fan for cooling. It is suitable for external backup storage, media archives, workstation storage expansion and simple mirrored storage setups for PC or Mac environments.
Compatibility Note: This enclosure is for 3.5 inch SATA HDDs and is supplied without hard drives. RAID setup can erase existing data, so back up important files before changing RAID mode or installing drives.
Key Features
Dual-Bay External Storage
Install two 3.5 inch SATA hard drives to create external desktop storage for backups, media files or workstation data.
Flexible RAID Modes
RAID 0 is useful for speed and combined capacity, RAID 1 mirrors data across two drives, while JBOD gives flexible non-RAID storage options.
USB 3.0 and eSATA Connectivity
Connect to compatible systems using USB 3.0 for broad support or eSATA for direct high-performance external storage access.
Cooling for Long Sessions
The aluminium enclosure supports passive heat dissipation, while the temperature-controlled fan helps keep installed hard drives cooled during operation.
