The ICY BOX IB-HUB1742CR-C2PD is a powered 11-in-1 USB-C hub for a photographer’s or editor’s desk: two USB-C and one USB-A port at 10 Gbps, three USB-A ports at 5 Gbps with 7.5 W charging, an SD and a microSD slot (UHS-I, up to 104 MB/s), and two USB-C Power Delivery charging ports that give 22 W each or 45 W to a single device, with a display showing the live wattage. An included 24 V / 3 A (72 W) adapter feeds it, and ICY BOX rates the hub for up to 100 W pass-through charging to the host laptop over the fixed 60 cm USB-C cable. The cable carries a USB-A converter, so part number IB-HUB1742CR-C2PD also plugs into older USB-A computers.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Laptop charging (up to 100 W) works only when the hub is connected over USB-C; on the USB-A converter you get data and card slots but no charging of the computer. There is no HDMI, DisplayPort or Ethernet — this is not a docking station. The card reader is UHS-I; UHS-II cards work at UHS-I speed. Full 10 Gbps on the three Gen 2 ports needs a USB 3.2 Gen 2 host.

Can it replace my laptop charger?
For many 13–15-inch laptops, yes: ICY BOX rates the USB-C host link at up to 100 W. The bundled adapter is 72 W, so a laptop that draws close to 100 W while you also fast-charge two phones will not get everything at once. Tell us your laptop model and we will check the wattage it expects.
Does it work on a PC that only has USB-A?
Yes — the host cable has a USB-A converter attached. You keep the six USB ports and both card slots; you lose charging of the computer, because USB-A cannot carry Power Delivery.
What is the difference between the IB-HUB1742CR-C2PD and the IB-HUB1743-CPD?
The 1743-CPD is the 9-in-1 sibling without card slots: it has the same 100 W pass-through but a single 20 W PD port and a smaller 48 W adapter. Choose the 1742CR if you need SD/microSD or two charging outputs.
