The ICY BOX IB-HUB1743-CPD is a powered 9-in-1 USB hub that mixes both connector types: two USB-C and one USB-A port at USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps), three USB-A and one USB-C at 5 Gbps, plus a USB-C Power Delivery output of up to 20 W with a wattage display. Its fixed 60 cm host cable is USB-C with a built-in USB-A converter, and over USB-C it can pass up to 100 W of charging through to the notebook. A 12 V / 4 A (48 W) adapter is in the box. Part number IB-HUB1743-CPD is the card-reader-free sibling of the IB-HUB1742CR-C2PD.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Laptop charging (up to 100 W) only works over the USB-C host connection and, since the bundled adapter is 48 W, in practice needs your own USB-C PD charger feeding the hub — ICY BOX does not document the exact mechanism, so ask us before relying on it. On the USB-A converter you get data only. No HDMI, DisplayPort or Ethernet. Only three of the seven data ports are 10 Gbps; the other four are 5 Gbps.
