The ICY DOCK ExpressTray MB732TP-B is a spare drive tray for two ExpressCage mobile racks: the MB732SPO-B and the MB324V4P-B. It is the plastic carrier a drive is fixed into before it slides into the cage, with no electronics of its own — the cage and the host controller provide the connection. What sets this tray apart from the thinner ExpressTrays is capacity: it takes 2.5-inch drives up to 15 mm thick, and ICY DOCK lists both SAS/SATA disks and U.2 or U.3 NVMe SSDs at that height. Buy one per drive and swapping storage becomes a matter of pulling one tray and pushing in another.

Two cages, named exactly: MB732SPO-B and MB324V4P-B. The trap here is the number 324. The MB324SP-B cage looks like a match and is not — it takes the MB324TP-B tray, while the MB324V4P-B takes this one. Read the full model number off the front of the cage, including the letters, before ordering; the two are one character apart and not interchangeable. Drive height is up to 15 mm, which covers thick 2.5-inch enterprise HDDs and U.2 SSDs. Because the tray is passive, what actually works depends on the cage and the host: a U.2 or U.3 NVMe drive needs an NVMe-capable cage and host connection, and a SAS disk needs a SAS controller.
