The INCA ITCH-30 is a 1.8-metre cable with a USB-C plug at one end and an HDMI 2.0 plug at the other, carrying up to 4K (3840 x 2160) at 60 Hz with HDR and HDCP 2.2 from a laptop, tablet or phone to a TV, monitor or projector. INCA designs it for USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 ports that support DisplayPort Alternate Mode, with gold-plated connectors and no driver. It replaces an adapter plus an HDMI lead with one cable — the neat way to put a MacBook, Surface or Galaxy phone on the big screen.
Compatibility — check before buying:
One direction only: USB-C source to HDMI screen. It takes the picture from a USB-C laptop, tablet or phone to an HDMI TV or monitor. It will not connect an HDMI source — a console, set-top box or older laptop — to a USB-C monitor; our supplier’s listing wrote the direction the other way round. Your USB-C port must carry video (DisplayPort Alt Mode or Thunderbolt). Most MacBooks, iPad Pro models, business laptops and many Samsung Galaxy phones do; many budget laptops and phones do not. No charging pass-through — while it is plugged in, that USB-C port is used for video. Tell us the device model and we will confirm it before you order.

The ITCH-30 does the job properly — 4K at 60 Hz, HDR and HDCP 2.2, so streaming apps work on the big screen — and 1.8 m is a realistic length for a meeting room or living room. The two things to check are the USB-C port, which must carry video, and the direction: it goes from USB-C to HDMI, never the other way.
