Intellinet 712477 — 19" 1U Cable Entry Panel with Brush Insert, Grey
19" racks1UBrush insertGrey RAL 7035
The Intellinet 712477 is a 1U cable entry panel with a brush insert for 19-inch racks and cabinets, made from 1.2 mm steel with an antistatic powder coating in grey RAL 7035. It lets patch cords pass from the front of the rack to the back through a brush-sealed slot, so the front stays tidy and the open gap between devices is closed.
It is installed horizontally in one rack unit, normally directly above or below a switch or patch panel, and at 12 mm deep it adds almost nothing in front of the rails.
Before you order: This is a 19-inch panel. It will not fit a 10-inch (254 mm) rack.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Intellinet 19" 1U cable entry panel with brush insert, grey RAL 7035
- Intellinet does not list mounting screws in the package. Plan on 4 × M6 screws and cage nuts from your rack kit or a separate fixing set.
What It Means in Practice
- Put it between the patch panel and the switch. Short patch cords go in through the brush and come out behind, and the ports stay visible from the front.
- The brush closes around the cables, which helps airflow in cabinets with front-to-back cooling, since cold air is not lost through an open 1U gap.
- The antistatic powder coating makes it safe to use next to active equipment.
- Because it is only 12 mm deep, it does not conflict with a front door or with device ears next to it.
What Will Not Work
- 10-inch racks. The panel is 483 mm wide and needs 19" rails.
- Plugs that are larger than the brush slot, such as mains plugs or bulky adapters. Thread those cables before you mount the panel, or route them elsewhere.
- Storing slack. There are no rings or hooks, so use a ring or bracket panel for loops.
- Mounting without hardware. Screws and cage nuts are not listed in the box.

Frequently Asked Questions
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
A brush panel is the simplest upgrade for a busy 19" rack. Cables leave the front through a single sealed slot rather than being draped over device ears, and the panel keeps cold air where it should be. It makes the most sense next to a high-port-count switch; see our network switches range if you are planning one.
✓ Buy it if you have a 19" rack and want patch cords to pass to the rear neatly between a switch and a patch panel.
✕ Skip it if your rack is 10 inches, or you need rings to hold slack.
→ Also consider a 1U ring or bracket cable management panel for storing slack.
