The Intellinet 712385 is a 19-inch 1U blank panel (rackmount spacer panel) in 1.2 mm steel with an antistatic powder coating in grey RAL 7035, for closing unused height units in network cabinets and server racks.
Empty units in the front of a rack are more than a cosmetic problem. They let hot air from the back of the equipment flow back to the front intakes, they let dust in, and they leave cables and power strips exposed. Intellinet designed this panel to cover unused positions in the cabinet and keep the airflow consistent, with a flat 9 mm profile that sits flush on the front rails.
Before you order: Intellinet does not list mounting screws in the scope of delivery. Plan on four rack screws with cage nuts (M6 is the usual size on square-hole rails) — if your rack already has spares, you are ready to go.

What It Means in Practice
- Covers one height unit (1U). Order one panel per empty unit.
- Fits standard 19-inch front rails; the panel is 483 mm wide, the full width of the rack front.
- At 9 mm deep it does not take space from equipment mounted directly above or below.
- The powder coat is antistatic, which is what you want on a panel that sits next to active network equipment.
What Will Not Work
- 10-inch cabinets: the panel is 483 mm wide and needs 19-inch rails.
- Cable pass-through: it is a solid plate; use a brush panel where cables must reach the front.
- Tool-less installation: the panel needs screws and cage nuts.
- Black cabinets: it fits, but grey will stand out. The black version is Intellinet 712675.
